1) Amazing Sealife Halong Cruise by Rebeca (Singapore)
We took this cruise in Halong Bay in mid-October. We spent 2 days and 1night on the cruise. This trip was truly amazing. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a pretty fast paced trip. We booked through a travel agency. On the day of departure, an 8 person van picked us up at 8am sharp at our hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. We were expecting to share with other travelers but realized after 20 minutes that nobody would be joining our family of 4 so we had plenty of room to spread out on the 3 hour ride to Sealife Cruise Halong Bay. After about 1.5 hours we stopped at a shop that sold various souvenirs. We didn’t purchase anything, but used the restrooms which were very clean. There was also a restaurant there and some snacks/drinks for sale. After 20 minutes we were on the road again. We arrived at the dock after another 1.5 hours of driving and were told to wait inside the air conditioned restaurant. We were given cool towels and water to drink while we waited for the boat. After a short wait, our guide led us to the dock just outside the restaurant where we boarded the tender to take us to the boat. We were given welcome drinks and cool towels when we boarded. After a brief introduction, where we were given our room keys and an itinerary, we had a few minutes to explore the boat. The boat was very large and while not super pretty on the outside, the inside was very nice. On the top deck, there were plenty of shaded areas to sit and lounge chairs for those who want to lie in the sun. There was also a bar, pool table and foosball table. The rooms were spacious and very clean and all had balconies. For the duration of the cruise, we were always moving through a variety of activities. The cruise supplies a variety of great activities with options for all ages. Exploring caves, kayaking or riding in a traditional rowing boat, swimming, hiking or relaxing on the beach, squid catching or fishing, tai chi, movies and massages too! Food for the most part was very good, all meals except breakfast on the last day is a set meal. The set meal is very good, but you do have to like seafood. There is an option for no seafood. Drinks (soda, juice, beer) cost extra. Jackie, the guide, and all the staff were amazing! The view was beautiful. Definitely a great photo spot. Of course you always have the option of relaxing on the deck or in your room too. I wouldn’t have stayed anywhere else, it was amazing here! I highly recommend this boat! This boat is only 1 year old, so there aren’t many reviews on it, but it is well worth it. You will love it!
“Very Impressive Cruise”
5 of 5 starsReviewed June 19, 2014
We recently chartered the Sealife Cruise for our company retreat and we were in for a surprise as they did a splendid job at making us feel at home.
It was a real 5 star experience, as the crew made us feel very welcomed. Being in a big group, food preparation was a little sensitive and they did a great job to accommodate our whole group perfectly. From the welcome all the way until we left, everything was arranged properly. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff friendly and attentive, and each room had a balcony which was perfect to relax and have lots of photos!
Overall, we would like to thank the crew of Huong Hai Sealife Cruise for allowing us to have a great time on board!
